The future looks bright, (like, really bright) in 2018. Thanks to social media sites blowing up year after year, we’re able to visualize every possible furniture/home combo and this year is going bright and warm. In the past we brought color into our home with paint but the truth is paint is messy and too permanent. The easier way to follow your trends is to keep them to your replaceable items. Cue, blue dressers, purple chairs and yellow area rugs. Mixing color with the basics creates conversational items, happy vibes and is sure to bring a smile to your face.

*I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of most bold or bright items and for that reason I tried it in my guest bedroom. I figured if I hated it, I didn’t see it on daily basis, therefore what did I have to lose? I mixed a yellow nightstand (I scored at Target) with blue curtains (from HomeSense) and a purple throw with my white bedding and beige headboard. Truth is… I really like it and we get compliments all the time. I also followed the trend for under $150.00, so I won’t be committed forever!
