Your 5 minute solution to Christmas potlucks!

“Hi ladies! We’re hosting a Christmas Potluck this year and would love for you to come and bring your favourite dish!”
The text comes through, again with the darn Christmas plans ?
Shit.
If you got as much anxiety as I did reading the first part of my blog, I kid you not: we might be soul mates.
Ladies, I said it before and I’ll say it again (cause it’s true!)
I can’t cook.
Now don’t get me wrong, I love getting together with my friends and the holiday season is a special time but let me tell you:
My anxiety doesn’t come from seeing my best gals, it comes from having to make my “best dish” for the Christmas potluck.
So what does a girl who doesn’t have a lot of time, can’t cook but desperately wants to please her friends because they’re awesome and they deserve it, make?
Trail Mix.
I know, I know. Trail mix?! ?
Right.. I get it, but it’s actually so delicious AND
a. Its an easy treat in the afternoon ?
b. It’s A scrumptious snack when playing “what do you meme” later that night?
And c. It’s Something I can claim I made myself ??
So; if your like me and struggle finding something to take to your potluck Christmas party take one from my book and see the recipe below.
HOLIDAY Trail mix
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup whole almonds
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1 tsp sea salt
Recipe feeds 3-4 people, feel free to double or triple the batch to your family size.
AND because its Christmas, you could totally add in a few red and green m&m’s to make this dish a little bit more festive, the kids will thank you.
I hope you all enjoyed todays post, Happy Holidays!
