Family Photos 2018

I am a planner, especially when it comes to family pictures. I normally have our complimentary outfits picked out 2 months in advance. I also book our photographer around the same time, if not earlier (she’s been doing our family photos for 7 year now)! And of course, I make sure my hair and nails are recently done.

This year, we had snow early. Like, really early and the whole thing threw me off. My husband got nervous reminding me for (probably) the 5th time I had to book things or we would be going our first year without pictures. We’ve always done them in Fall and I wasn’t interested in switching that up!

I booked our photographer, who worked with our schedule quickly. I ran to Old Navy, where I haven’t been in years, and bought everyones outfit! And I hoped for the best.

The morning of our photos, I broke 2 nails. I looked in the mirror and my roots were grown out. We rushed to get dressed in outfits chose in under 1/2 hour (for all 5 of us) and found that because of the poor weather, we were going to be taking photos with trees that had already shed their leaves!

At the end of the day, we had enjoyed a fun afternoon together laughing and rolling in all the leaves on the ground. We froze but looked cute in our Old Navy outfits and we crossed our fingers to see how our photographer would work magic with the background she was given! (I would say she did amazing!)

  1. You have a beautiful family! Good job on the outfits, and your photographer did a fabulous job. You are a beautiful woman, and even though I don’t know you, I’m sure you are beautiful on the inside as well. I am I awe of you…I just want to know your secret on how you do all that you do…with three kids a full time job, you inspire me!

    Kudos to you ❤️❤️

    1. Thank you so much for the comment and kind words Lorri. There’s no secret here, just one foot in front of the other. Not every day is a good one as I am just like everyone else but I do strongly believe that your attitude and how you approach things plays seriously into your results. Each morning I wake up and choose to be happy, regardless of what is going on around me. I am incredibly lucky to have a supportive husband who also works hard to allow me to reach my dreams. As well, we are blessed to have both our parents living near by. In our family, it takes an army to keep everyone going! Thank you for reading my blog, it means the world to me and so does your comment. <3
