Office Makeover

Moving to my new brokerage (Royal LePage) for work, 3.5 years ago brought a lot of changes and first on my list was having a “nice” office. I wanted my space to reflect my personality and be welcoming to my clients, all while keeping a somewhat neutral vibe. I hired a local custom wallpaper company to design and install a 17′ wall mural splashed with inspirations words in different fonts to remind me that although each day may not be easy, it was worth it to keep pushing for success.

D&D Designs created exactly what I had in mind and installed it to a “t.” Year after year, people would comment on my wall and how fun it was. But, if you know me, I love a little change here and there. This winter while in Minot, ND (at my sons hockey tournament) I came across pre-fab wainscoting. (Lowes, not available in Canada.) You know I was intrigued. Thankfully we had the truck and loaded up the 4′ panels to make our way home. (They are 4′ wide by 2.66′ tall and 1/4″ thick.)

Within a couple days of arriving home, I had the wainscoting in place (took my husband and I an evening) with everything in my office pulled to the centre and ready to paint! 1 day later, the paint was on and the office had a fresh bright and white look! With age comes growth in every aspect and I was ready to move on to something a little more “mature.”

Keep an eye on my blog because I also convinced my husband that our own home could use a “lift” so we went the custom way and built waitcotting rather than pre-fab! Pictures to come soon!
